Short answer: LetPot is a good-value pick if you want app control and more pods than most starter kits. For a few kitchen herbs, the LPH-Air (10 pods) or LPH-Lite (12 pods) is enough. Choose the LPH-SE if you want a 30" light for taller plants, and the LPH-Max only if you want automatic water refilling and nutrient dosing.

What is LetPot?

LetPot makes countertop hydroponic gardens: plants grow in pods above a water tank, a pump circulates water to the roots, and a full-spectrum LED on an adjustable arm replaces the sun. Every current model can be controlled from the LetPot app (light schedule, modes, pump) and from a touch panel or screen on the unit. For how hydroponic kits compare with soil-pod gardens, see AeroGarden vs Click & Grow.

Specs from LetPot's comparison and product pages, checked October 2026 (Mini figures from its product page, October 17, 2026). LetPot's own pages differ slightly in places: the SE page mentions a "21-inch" panel but lists 30" as max height, and the Air's dimensions appear as both 17" × 8" × 4" and 15" × 5" × 7". What owners say

The customer reviews on LetPot's own product pages are mostly 5-star. As usual for reviews on a brand's own site, read them with some caution. Common positives are easy setup, a beginner-friendly app and the hands-off automatic mode on the Max. One recurring note is that the printed instructions can be confusing at first, though owners say setup turns out easier than it looks. Like every hydroponic kit, LetPot gardens have a pump. LetPot describes its pumps as quiet, but if you want a silent garden, look at soil-pod systems instead.

Frequently asked questions

Is LetPot a good hydroponic garden brand?

For beginners who want app control and more pods for the counter space, yes. Every current model has app control, and specs range from 5 to 21 pods.

Which LetPot is best for herbs?

For everyday kitchen herbs, the LPH-Air (10 pods, 14 in light) or LPH-Lite (12 pods, 16 in light) is enough.

What is the difference between LetPot SE and Max?

Both have a 30 in light. The Max adds 21 pods plus a 2-pod large tray, a 7.5 L tank, a 36W light, and automatic water refilling and nutrient dosing.

Can LetPot grow tomatoes?

LetPot positions the SE and Max, both with lights that rise to 30 in, for taller plants like dwarf tomatoes and peppers.
